With one in ten children suffering from a mental health problem in 2008 and an estimated one in six suffering in 2016, it is the responsibility of all adults working with children to not only have an understanding of the key challenges and potential pot holes that they face but to also have the skills and confidence to address these.
75% of mental health problems in adulthood are developed by the age of 18 years - it is time to act.
Freckles has worked closely with its very own Educational Psychologist to develop a comprehensive days training course on Emotional Health & Wellbeing. The course covers; attachment, anxiety, confidence and self-esteem and has been redesigned to involve the making of kits!
Every attendee will go home with a kit bag jam packed full with the all sorts of amazing tools to help their children. The kit bag is completely tailored to you and the challenges you want to address. Contents can include everything from glitter jars, to balloons and pipe cleaners to conversation starters!
The course has been developed with nannies, parents and teachers in mind. We want to equip adults working with children, in any capacity, with the skills and tools necessary to help develop and grow emotionally stable children.
It is an intense day but is incredibly rewarding and educational and will be tailored to those in attendance.
The day will run as follows:
9.30am - Welcome
9.45am - Attachment
10.30am - Anxiety
12.30pm - LUNCH
1pm - Confidence and self-esteem
3pm - Designing your kit!
4pm - FINISH
