Freckles is so excited to be offering the opportunity to do either a 6 hour paediatric first aid course or a 12 hour paediatric first aid course!
The 12 hour course qualifies for Ofsted registration and so is valid for childminders, nursery workers and any Kayas or Nannies wanting to register with Ofsted. The 12 hour course combines a 6 hour e-learning course with the 6 hour practical. The e-learning needs to be completed 48 hours in advance of the practical.
The 6 hour course is simply done on the day and suits anyone from Kayas to parents and grandparents to teachers.
The certificates from either course last for 3 years and will be issued on the day! You will also receive a manual to refer back to.
The 6 hour practical course is fully certified and is delivered by our amazing in house trainer, Bev.
By using our own trainer we are able to tailor the course to any attendees specific requirements. For example we added an extra bit in on Type 1 Diabetes in a previous session as one of our Kayas was looking after a child who suffers from it. If you do have any extra requirements then just be sure to let us know and we'll ask Bev to work it in.
For the 6 hour course tickets are £60 per person and for the 12 hour course (6 hour e-learning and 6 hour practical) tickets are £100. Spaces are limited so do get in there quickly!
6 hour practical course content includes:
- Role of a first aider
- Action planning in an emergency
- Primary and secondary assessments
- Recovery position
- Infant, child and adult CPR
- Infant, child and adult action for choking
- Head injuries
- Allergic reactions and anaphylactic shock
