Hina Nannies, Hakuba Valley, Japan - Ski Nanny Job Description

Summary:

  • Country: Japan

  • Resort(s): Hakuba Valley, primarily servicing: Happo-One, Goryu/Iimori, Hakuba47 and Iwatake Resort, all within approx. 10 minute drive from central Happo area.

  • Accommodation situation: provided, paid for from your salary

  • Vehicle: compact vehicle supplied, for those with valid International Driver’s Permit

  • EU / UK passport holder: accepting both

    • You need to obtain a working holiday visa (info to follow)

    • simple process, low cost

  • Recruitment window: currently open 

  • Pay: ¥1,500 per hour // average of 35-40 hours per week 

  • Salaried / hourly: paid monthly 

  • Positions:

    • 4 x nannies required

    • preferred min. age: 20 years but 18 / 19 year olds will be considered

  • Language: no Japanese required as 95% of clients are international and speak English

Based in the beautiful city of Hakuba, Japan, Hina Nannies are looking for energetic, hardworking and committed nannies to join them for the 23/24 winter season.

The Details:

  • Full season: early December 2023 - mid / end of March 2024

  • Working hours: approximately 35 - 40 hours per week

    • Peak week = more hours 

    • Quiet weeks = less hours

  • Vehicle provided so you can get around resort 

  • Support organising ski pass

  • Support organising ski hire

  • Support registering your address in Hakuba/Japan

  • Support opening a Japanese bank account


Requirements:

  • You must complete the Freckles Childcare Ski Nanny Course

  • Job offers are:

    • offered outright (if you have already trained) 

    • or in advance and are conditional to you passing the Ski Nanny Course with a grade merit or higher

  • A can do, energetic and team player attitude is essential 

  • Clean UK driving licence is preferred
