The Background
Our week long nanny training course has been delveoped as a result of Freckles Childcare running standalone nanny training courses for 3 years and residential nanny training weekends for 18 months. The Junior Nanny Course has been developed to offer a more intensive and expansive training course for gap year students and aspiring nannies.
When Jo, the Founder of Freckles, started nannying in 2009 as an 18-year school leaver she had no previous experience working with children or any relevant training. Consequently training and support has always been at the forefront of the work that Freckles does.
The Junior Nanny Course is designed to equip its student nannies with the training they need to be confident in their work and in raising children to be their best selves. The training not only covers key nannying-specific modules and knowledge, but it also ensures that student nannies leave with a strong CV and cover letter and understand how to interview well. The main objective of the Junior Nanny Course is ensuring that graduating Kaya Nannies are as employable as possible, based on their skills, knowledge and confidence.
The team at Freckles were always friendly, helpful and enjoyable to be around. The lessons were engaging and I could not recommend this course more, even if you aren't 100% sure you want to be a nanny or work in the industry I would still suggest taking the course as you will come away learning many good life skills and a fun experience that you'll never forget.
